Melbourne Contemporary Art Fair
February 2024

A suite of tapestries from a series Breathe alongside a large bronze. Artwork references colour field painting through a unique style of weaving and knotting. Each tapestry is hand-framed in brass. The bronze work is an exciting interpretation that translates the detail of the textiles, including knots, and echos the organic quality of the original textile it is cast from, which is lost in the process. With the works in this show, Tammy was the recipient of the Richard Parker Award. with a focus on excellence. The Richard Parker Award is a new initiative supporting development in the arts.
